I can see why most documentaries are a labour of love. The Rom Boys film is no exception.
Whilst getting great support in the production it's only when you start digging around that you realise how much passion their is for this place with the local community and how getting everyone to have their say is key in piecing the story together.
I've been shooting all summer and have some great interviews and footage in the can so the next phase is to build in some more international interviews with key characters in the US and then the huge job of post production and archive digitization...
Watch this space. A real coup was getting the opportunity to film and interview the legendary Bob Haro. A real hero of mine growing up so to get to meet him was really awesome...
